Birds Eye View
Above is our script and to the right is our birds eye view for our continuity film. these were both necessary when filming because they both gave clear instructions to me the cinematographer and both actors on what to do. the script was followed exactly when it came to filming as it was clear and easy to follow and wasn't hard for anyone to understand and i tried to follow as best a possible the birds eye view but it took a few goes to find the perfect shot at the beginning was hard to keep the 180 degree rule and shot reverse shot with the actors. Storyboard |
This storyboard unfortunately is not clear enough to be seen because of the transition from my computer to Weebly and unfortunately the computer failed to work after a while and the photos were lost. the storyboard shows all the shots from walking through the door to the chairs in which the actors sit and shoulder to shoulder action that will be shown in the short film. In this storyboard there is one shoulder to shoulder shot that cannot be seen here but is in the film.

The Continuity Film and Evaluation
|
EvaluationIn this section i will be evaluating a continuity task. we were asked to create a sequence which displayed continuity editing where a match on action eye line matching shot reverse shot and 180 degree rule which implemented into the script shot plan story board and sequence.
Did you display the use of continuity editing conventions? In this film i feel we did present the 180 degree, eye line and shot reverse shot rule well because we examined them before hand and made sure for example that Tyler's shots from behind his shoulder would be higher |
then the shots from Emily's shoulder as he was bigger so had to look down in the film. I also feel that although the over all film isn't perfect and has a few major floors like the sound changing through one of the scene or the actors coming out of character for a short while, the film still represents our intended mission to use all three continuity tasks in our film which we did. If i was to change anything it would be to make the beginning shot smoother and with some form of moveable object like a trolley or something because the beginning shot has a weird alien like camera fuzz because of the shot needing to be stabilised in final cut pro because of how shaky one part became
